Shell and tube heat exchangers

Process exchangers for chemical and pharmaceutical plants.

The families of SFA and SFB shell and tube exchangers comprise various models with diameters ranging from DN100 to DN300, allowing for the right balance between the required heat exchange surface area and the equipment footprint. Models are available with horizontal or vertical mounting and solutions ranging from 13 to 139 tubes in silicon carbide or other materials, up to 3 tube-side passes.

Combinations of borosilicate glass 3.3, silicon carbide (SIC), stainless steel, glass-lined steel, Teflon-coated, and Hastelloy applied to tubes, shell, and heads allow for compliance with multiple project specifications for temperatures of -30 ÷ +200°C and pressures of -1 ÷ +10 bar.

The construction know-how, implemented in decades of experience in handling corrosive and hazardous fluids, utilizes PTFE-loaded tubesheets, optional double stainless steel/glass-lined tubesheets with a control chamber, and ensures an excellent quality-price ratio for corrosion resistance and ease of maintenance.

All exchangers are supplied with CE conformity declaration and PED-Atex certification, where applicable.

Code Models

The code for each model identifies the various construction options of each shell and tube heat exchanger, immediately identifying the type, diameter, exchange surface, number of tube-side passages and process high, as well as the materials of construction for the shell, heads and tubes.
The double tube sheet, if present, is indicated by the initials ‘-D’.
